HEALTH AND BEAUTY
Sometimes the simplest products make the biggest difference. Many Tribe members reported daily use of castor oil greatly improved their eye lash and brow growth after chemo.
This set includes brushes perfect for lash line as well as brows. |
While you're waiting for the Castor oil treatment to kick in, Cherry Blooms will give you the look of salon lash extensions that are easy to apply at home.
|
This paraben free solution contains keratin to help strengthen lashes and brows.

Tribe member Lori is a big fan of this product. According to Lori, even before chemo her eyebrows were lacking, but since using Neulash, she no longer "draws" her eyebrows on before leaving the house!
One downside, she noticed when not using the product, her lashes and brows returned to their prior, thinner state. |
Chemo can wreak havoc on your mouth and teeth, even after you've completed it. Tribe member Sandy found this Tom's toothpaste to help ease sensitivity.
|
Another great use for coconut oil- Oil Pulling.
Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic technique of basically swishing oil around your mouth, that Western Medicine is embracing. The oil kills the teeny tiny bacteria in your mouth and can prevent gingivitis and plaque build up. Great during chemo. |
This Sonicare sensitive is a great way to give your teeth a thorough cleaning and a little extra TLC.
|
This all natural deodorant has a lovely smell and is long lasting to keep your armpits (and those around you) happy.
|
Schmidt's was voted "Most Popular" in the #OurTribe private FB group for having graced many of our armpits. At time of this writing, there was still no consensus as to the best scent, however Lime had a slight lead in the polls.
|
A challenging step towards adopting a natural deodorant lifestyle, is the often stinky "detox" phase when your armpits are adjusting. The charcoal and apple cider in this soap help kill the stink making bacteria helping your new natural deodorant do it's job more effectively.

Pearl Morelle is a lymphedema therapist REVERED by #OurTribe, and she insists on aloe "so pure you can eat it" applied to skin during radiation.
*Remember to check with your radiation oncologist before applying anything to your skin during treatment! |
Several Tribe members used Boiron's Calendula Cream and found it useful even after radiation treatment for random skin issues.
*Remember to check with your radiation oncologist before applying anything to your skin during treatment! |
Miaderm-L is a combination of Aloe, Calendula and then Lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during radiation.
*Remember to check with your radiation oncologist before applying anything to your skin during treatment! |
Sometimes a girl's best friend during radiation is a thick, gloppy ointment, and Aquaphor is the gloppiest.
*Remember to check with your radiation oncologist before applying anything to your skin during treatment! |
Drains after mastectomy are a strange, aggravating necessity after mastectomy. These shower pockets help manage the drain bags and can be helpful even when not in the shower. (PS is it me or does that mannequin have a belly ring? 😂)
